Come celebrate, renew and rebirth yourself with four amazing North Bay female Kirtan leaders!
Sing your prayers, align your spirit, and connect with the onenness of All through sacred song.
In times of intense change and challenge we need our musicians more than ever to remind us of who we are and why we are here. We need artists to help us strengthen our commitment to bringing love and compassion to every act we take, to nourish our divine Self with beauty, and to call us home to love.
Diana Egizi is a vocalist and songstress devoted to awakening transformational love and creating sanctuary through sacred ceremony, community prayer, and song medicine. Her soulful vocals and heartsongs invite you to open your heart and sing yourself home.
As co-founder of Awakened Heart Music (with Maggie Taurick) she has shared sacred music, sound healing & facilitated song workshops at festivals and gatherings such as Shakti Fest, Bhakti Fest, Relaxpansion, Singing Alive, G-Fest Goddess Festival in Mt. Shasta, and Heartsong Gathering at Lago Atitlán, Guatemala.
Her first single, “Reciprocity”, is due to be released this spring along with a crowdfund for her first album. Find her on IG: @artemis_awake
Eostar Kamala: Hungarian born Singer-songwriter, sound-alchemist, and vocalist, Eostar is devoted to facilitate real spiritual experiences through offering her being as a hollow flute for the Divine to play through.
Eostar has been sharing her music on the West Coast of the USA, South America and in her birth country Hungary through the last 20 years. She has played at many conscious and spiritually oriented festivals such as Bhaktifest, Pranafest, Mystic Garden Gathering, Inlakesh Festival, Raw Spirit Festival, Peace Village Festival, New Earth Festival, Festival Musica Medicina (Peru) and Synthesis (Mexico).
Kiranjot Kaur is a vocalist, founding member of Copper Wimmin, Kundalini Yoga teacher, and Indian classical music instructor, with a deep devotion to the Divine Mother and A Course in Miracles. Copper Wimmin gained recognition through appearances on Democracy Now and the Showtime series The L Word, where their song "Bleeding Rivers" was featured.
In 2006, Kiranjot refocused her career toward Indian classical music, dedicating five years to living and studying under the tutelage of her beloved teacher, Dr. Ustad Narindar Singh, in Amritsar, India. Shifting away from traditional performances where the audience is separate from the performer, Kiranjot now merges her early experiences of communal singing with Sweet Honey in the Rock and Bobby McFerrin, alongside her deep love for Indian music and Kirtan traditions.
Mirabai hosts Kirtan events all over the San Francisco Bay Area. Mirabai is trained in jazz and folk, and found the bhakti path in 2002. She has studied Indian music and kirtan with Jai Uttal, Sargam Shah and Krishna Das. She plays acoustic guitar, but her specialty is the harmonium.
