AN EVENING BAL AND AFTERNOON WORKSHOPS (PLUS SUNDAY SESSION)
19.30 - 22.45 EVENING BAL with The Eel Grinders - supported by Sue Jones & John Neilson (Doors open 19.00)
The Eel Grinders are: Steve Turner, Helena Torpy, Dave Faulkner and Laurence Ansty. They are each well respected musicians in their own right so it’s no surprise that together they create a richly textured, driving and uplifting sound that is fabulous to dance to. They are also prolific composers: many of their tunes are staples of the Balfolk scene.
Sue Jones & John Neilson are well loved in the local Balfolk scene. Their music is both accomplished and irresistible!
You don’t need to bring a partner just some enthusiasm! and be prepared to dance with a variety of people. Suitable for all levels. Smooth soled shoes are best.
