During the Spring Afternoon Tea service at The Ritz-Carlton Chicago guests can delight in an arrow of sweet and savory confections by Executive Pastry Chef Toni Roberts. Finger tea sandwiches include Smoked Salmon with citrus dill spread and pickled cucumber on pumpernickel; Tuscan Turkey with asparagus and grain mustard on wheat pullman; Traditional Cucumber with heirloom tomatoes and roasted pepper spread; and Egg Salad with radish avocado crema caviar and chives. The menu also features asparagus ham and Swiss quiche; freshly baked scones like Traditional Cream and Cinnamon Chip with housemade lemon curd strawberry jam and clotted cream; and pastries such as Lavender Lemon Macaron Blueberry Parfait Key Lime Tart Pistachio Financier and Dark Chocolate Gateau.
The experience includes a selection of teas accompanied by the guest’s choice of a complimentary glass of champagne or non-alcoholic French Bloom Bubbles. Reservations are priced at $85 per person (exclusive of tax gratuity and service fees) and can be purchased on Tock. Additionally specially priced prepaid Champagne bottles can be arranged through Tock for an added touch of luxury. Tea service is available at 2 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays from March 23 through May 12. Special themes and dates include Easter on March 30 & 31 The Kentucky Derby on May 4 and Mother’s Day on May 11 & 12.
