Better Business Bureau® of the Upstate & AARP® South Carolina partner to host a FREE Secure Your ID Shred Day to promote awareness about identity theft and fraud protection.Take advantage of FREE document shredding and hard drive wipes on April 17, 2025, at Heritage Park in Simpsonville. We will open the gates and begin assisting vehicles at 9 a.m.!
Along with shredding physical document, thanks to our IT Partner, PremierePC, attendees will also have the opportunity to shred their digitally stored material in a way that meets US Department of Defense standards.
*We can only accept Desktop or Laptop devices - no monitors, keyboards, printers, etc.
Bring up to three (3) small banker 10" x 12" x 15" size boxes OR three (3) plastic 13 gallon kitchen bags of paper documents you'd like shredded. Those looking to bring hard drives are limited to 2 devices per vehicle.
DRIVE-THRU EVENT: Due to safety concerns and to ensure that we can serve as many vehicles as possible, we are unable to accept attendees on foot or allow consumers to get out of their vehicles to watch their paper shredded.
**Please DO NOT bring the following items: monitors, keyboards, or printers. To shred your sensitive documents promptly, please remove binders, binder clips, paper clips, staples, rubber bands, CDs/DVDs before shredding. The complimentary shred event is first come, first serve or until the shred trucks fill up.
