About this Event
You know your card meanings but the second you lay down a spread, your brain goes: “Wait! What does this POSITION mean again?”
Or you’ve tried big spreads (hello, Celtic Cross) and walked away more confused than when you started.
This class is for the moment you’re tired of guessing and ready to read spreads with confidence, structure, and flow.
In tarot, a spread is a map. If the map is messy, the reading is messy. When the spread is built well, your reading becomes clear, specific, and wildly useful for love questions, career decisions, healing work, and everyday “what now?” moments. Workshops that combine learning classic spreads + practicing readings + designing your own consistently perform best because students leave with both skill and usable tools.
What you’ll learn
- How spreads actually work (positions, purpose, and why layouts change the message)
- How to choose the right spread for the right question (and stop over-pulling cards)
- How to read positions like a story so the reading “clicks” instead of feeling random
- How to troubleshoot confusing spreads (contradictions, repeat cards, “this makes no sense” pulls)
- How to create your own spreads step-by-step: set the focus, break it into the right positions, and build a layout that flows
- A simple method for making spreads on the fly when you need clarity fast
What we’ll do in class (2 hours)
- Quick grounding + “spread mindset” (how to ask better questions)
- Walk-through of a few go-to spreads (and why they work)
- Guided practice reading spreads (you’ll actually read. No endless lecture)
- Spreadcraft Lab: you’ll design a custom spread for a real-life topic (and test-drive it)
What you’ll leave with
- A mini “toolbox” of versatile spreads you can reuse anytime
- A clear framework for building your own spreads that don’t feel overwhelming
- More confidence reading for yourself (and others) without second-guessing
Who this is for
- Beginners who can pull cards but don’t know how to structure a reading
- Intermediate readers who want to stop relying on random spreads online
- Anyone who wants their readings to feel clear, grounded, and repeatable
What to bring
- Your tarot deck (Rider-Waite-Smith style is easiest to follow, but any deck is welcome)
- A notebook/journal + pen
(Don’t have a deck yet? Come a bit early, there are decks in the shop.)
Important: limited seats
This is intentionally small (only 10 seats) so everyone gets support, practice time, and feedback. If you’ve been meaning to finally “get” spreads, this is your sign to grab your spot now.
