This family event is packed with reading activities and fun for Pre K-6 students and their families. Event Overview and Schedule:
6:00-6:30 PM
Kickoff in the Auditorium
To start the night, join us for a brief presentation in the auditorium, learn about the our new reading program, Benchmark Advance and the Pillars of Literacy. Upon entry, each family will receive a literacy drawstring bag with vital reading information and goodies for the kiddos.
6:30-8:00 PM
The following activities will be available throughout the evening:
Celebrity Corner: Reading with Lions: Listen to school principals in the district as they share favorite stories.
Red Carpet Literacy Picture Station: Take photos on the red carpet to commemorate the evening!
Food and Refreshments: Enjoy pizza as well as other goodies!
Book Exchange: Students are encouraged to bring a gently used book to exchange for a new one!
Interactive Literacy Activities: Families can enjoy interactive stations filled with games and activities that make learning to read fun and engaging. Each "Literacy Boulevard" station offers unique ways to build reading skills—through playful phonics games, vocabulary challenges, story retelling, and even activities that combine literacy with math.
ClassLink and Parent Portal Support: Receive help navigating ClassLink and the Parent Portal.
Community Organization Displays: Connect with local organizations that support literacy and educational growth.
