Have you ever walked away from a competition wondering how you did, why you didn’t score higher, or what the judges saw that you couldn’t?
Spotlight Critiques give you the chance to find out right away.
Dance West Coast Swing for 90 seconds in the spotlight, then receive focused, constructive feedback from a rotating panel of at least three experienced judges and instructors. Panelists may include John Festa, Ksenia Nomberg, Alec Grant, Joe Miller, and other experienced members of the WCS community.
You’ll receive detailed feedback on:
• Connection
• Musicality
• Technique
• Partnership
• Personal expression
The session includes separate Novice and Intermediate/Advanced spotlight blocks. You’ll dance with a partner from your division, and everyone receives the benefit of hearing every critique.
While Spotlight Critique can help you better understand and improve your competition results, it isn’t only for competitors. It’s for anyone who wants thoughtful outside perspectives, clearer direction, and specific ideas they can immediately test and bring back into their dancing.

👥 Only seven couples per session
