You are invited to our 3rd Maker’s Market! How is this possible!!
Theme - Spooky Season!!
Dress Attire - Costumes (Best costume will win a prize)
Make Enough for All: Your headcount determines how much you make. If 12 people are attending, you must make, package and bring exactly 12 of your specific item.
Strictly Homemade or Hand-Curated: Items must be made by hand, baked, grown, or thoughtfully upcycled. No store-bought, mass-produced items are allowed.
No Money Allowed: This is a zero-currency event. The currency is your time, creativity, and effort.
Claim Your Item: Guests must message their item to the hostess privately (not on the group page) as soon as they decide. We LOVE to be SPOOKED! (Please do NOT ruin the fun) I will check for any 👀 SPOOK-A- LIKES! 👀
Example: If someone else already claimed "Mummy Rice Krispie Treats," I will let you know and you must pick a different theme, like "Witch Finger Cookies."
Individually Packaged: Every item must be pre-packaged, bundled, or bagged individually so guests can easily drop them into their take-home basket.
Labeling & Transparency: Items should include a label detailing what it is, your name, and any potential food allergens.
The Intros: Before the trading starts, we will gather around the table. Each person will briefly introduce themself and share the story or inspiration behind what they made.
The Trading Method: Guests arrange their items on a central table. Attendees then browse the spread and "shop," taking exactly one of each item to ensure everyone gets a fair share.
Deadline: Because creators need to know exactly how many items to produce, I am setting a firm RSVP deadline of 8/1 with a $20 deposit due then as well. This gives us plenty of time to enjoy Summer and still prepare for this amazing next swap. I am opening this Spooky Makers’ Market up to 12 people so we still have an intimate vibe.
**Please note that half of your deposit is refunded upon arrival the same way you paid. The other $10 will go towards a charcuterie board spread and non- alcoholic drinks. If you are a no-show you forfeit your deposit, no exceptions.
