This Halloween, the Iziko South African Museum is going prehistoric! Join Puppet Planet for a roaring good workshop where dinosaurs meet spooky fun.
Kids will learn how to fold a ferociously cool origami dinosaur (don’t worry, they don’t bite!) and decorate river rocks with dino designs that could scare even a T. rex. It’s a mix of tricks, treats, and pterosaurs – the perfect way to celebrate Halloween with a Jurassic twist!
Meet our life-sized Velociraptor, touch real dinosaur fossils and visit the nest of baby dinosaurs in the African Dinosaur exhibit.
Every child who wears their Halloween costume will get a free dino-mite necklace! Dinosaur cookies and light refreshments provided.
For children 6 and up. Join us for either the morning workshop (9:30am - 12pm) or the afternoon workshop (12:30pm - 3pm).
Booking essential. Tickets are R300 per child; parents/guardians free (no ticket needed). Museum admission required R50 per adult, R30 per child.
