About this Event
Come explore the hilarious and heartfelt world of improvised stories in this four session improv series. Improviser and director Ben Gorodetsky is offering a playful, in-person exploration of narrative approaches to improvisation.
Over the course of 10 hours of instruction this improv workshop series will tap into play, listening, trust, story structures, and your very own auto-biography. Learn to trust yourself and your partners so you can create in the moment together. Past improv experience recommended.

Location:
This workshop will take place at 165 King St W, Kitchener. This is the same building as Libro Credit Union downtown. The studio is in the basement and Ben will meet you at the street entrance to head down together. Make sure you go to King St West, not East!

About the instructor:
Ben Gorodetsky is an improviser, writer, and producer based in Kitchener, Ontario. He is director and host of Pinch Cabaret, KW's BEST LOCAL EVENT, as voted by the readers of the Waterloo Chronicle. Ben is co-creator of political satire comedy duo Folk Lordz (VICE) and has performed, taught, and directed improvisation at The Magnet Theatre (NYC), Out of Bounds Comedy (Austin), UCB (LA), Highwire Comedy (Atlanta), English Lovers (Vienna), IGLU (Ljubljana), FERIIR (Reunion Island), Bad Dog (Toronto), and Blind Tiger (Vancouver). Their performance work has been presented by Movement Research at Judson Church, The Tank NYC, Mile Zero Dance, Brian Webb Dance Company, Expanse Festival of Movement Arts, Rubaboo Festival, Guelph Dance Festival, SpringWorks, and the Gas Station Arts Centre. Ben is the former Associate Artistic Director of Rapid Fire Theatre a nominee for a Canadian Comedy Award. He teaches at UWaterloo and holds an MFA from Brooklyn College-CUNY and a BFA from the University of Alberta.
