About this Event
This workshop gives participants a chance to spontaneously create art in a safe, non-judgemental space, with no preconceived notions or "skills." A variety of materials for painting, drawing, collage etc. will be provided, and participants are strongly encouraged to bring their own materials as well. Poems, doodles, magazines, fabrics, unfinished paintings, concert tickets, photographs or any objects of significance can enrich your creative experience. The session will begin with a meditative grounding exercise and conclude with a gentle sharing of our creations.
Limited to 16 people
The workshop is free, but we suggest a $20 donation to support Project Human X. No one will be turned away due to lack of funds.
This workshop is partially inspired by a series of online Spontaneous Creation Making (SCM) sessions that took place during the COVID pandemic. The sessions were facilitated by artists/authors, Barbara Bickel and Michael Fisher, with assistance from Hallie Sanclemente Morrison. Learn more about them at the StudioM website and have a look at the book that was published about SCM and the video too.
