"Transformers One" has a runtime of approximately 1 hour and 44 minutes, and tells the origin story of Optimus Prime and Megatron, once close friends who become sworn enemies on their home planet Cybertron, as their differing ideologies lead to a devastating war, with Orion Pax (Optimus Prime) ultimately choosing the path of unity and becoming the leader of the Autobots while D-16 (Megatron) embraces destruction and leads the Decepticons; the film focuses on their early bond and the events that ultimately drive them apart, including the discovery of the Matrix of Leadership which transforms Orion into Optimus Prime.
