Spoken Word in a Gallery

Whether you are an experienced performer or stepping up for the first time, we welcome you to be part of an evening where words meet art and voices resonate amongst the pieces that inspire them.

Feel free to perform whatever themes or topics you like, although we encourage themes that link to our ongoing exhibtion which explores our relationship with the planet and the connections within it, to align with our visual art exhibition, Small Blue Dot.

Small Blue Dot is a group exhibition exploring our relationship with the planet and the interconnected systems that sustain life. Bringing together artists working across painting, photography, sculpture, installation, mixed media, and film, the exhibition reflects on climate change, environmental justice, human impact, and the possibilities of care, repair, and regeneration.

Tickets start at £5 for performers, and £6 for attendees. All donations, along with profits from artwork sales, will support Painting Progress' free arts programmes for vulnerable groups, helping us make creative opportunities more accessible to those who need them most.
