Join us for the first annual Spokane County Farm Barter. Conveniently located one mile south of Deer Park. 29687 N Short Rd, Deer Park, WA. All vendor fees are being waived. Easy access and lots of space.Rules & Regulations
Please note that Spokane County Farm Barter, The Dharma Pharm is a working farms. This means animals- both furred and feathered- smells, and even occasionally poo will be found around the property.
Because these is technically a private event, all participants must be a member of the Spokane County Farm Barter Facebook group. It's free to join. If you are not a member of Facebook just click join. All participants are considered 'members' of the group(s). A participant is any member who attends this event other than staff. This includes but is not limited to anyone coming to offer items and services, anyone coming to shop or browse items and services, and/or any guests and/or minors they bring with them.
The Spokane County Farm Barter, The Dharma Pharm, the owner(s) of the property reserve the right to:
* Refuse service and/or admission to anyone
* Inspect all livestock/animals and items for sale
* Request removal of any livestock/animals suspected to not be 100% healthy
* Request removal of any items considered inappropriate
* Prohibit certain items from being sold or exchanged
* Request participants to dismantle unsafe canopies, tents, or other structures
* Relocate participants within the space
* Deny participants further selling privileges
* Establish acceptable sound levels
* Change the rules and regulations
Liability and Risk:
* Spokane County Farm Barter, The Dharma Pharm, Property Owners, do not provide liability insurance for participants. Farms/locations' owners, officers, volunteers, employees and contracted personnel are to be held harmless from any liability or damages arising from a participant’s use of the premises and/or injury to persons or property resulting from items sold or exchanged by participants thereon. Participants are recommended to have liability insurance and are responsible for any injuries or damages, either to persons or property.
* Spokane County Farm Barter, The Dharma Pharm are not liable, and assume no responsibility, for any loss or damages to a participant’s person or property.
Spokane County Farm Barter, The Dharma Pharm, Property Owners, strictly prohibit:
* Loose livestock/animals of any sort, including pets- all livestock/animals must be restrained by owner at owner's expense and with owner's equipment unless otherwise stated (methods of acceptable restraint include but are not limited to: on leash, on tether, in a cage or crate, in a pen)
* Sick or otherwise unthrifty livestock/animals, or livestock/animals that appear to be sick or otherwise unthrifty
* Dangerous livestock/animals of any kind including rutting livestock/animals or livestock/animals in heat/season
* Merchandise bearing counterfeit trademarks or merchandise that infringes on copyrighted designs or materials
* Flammables, explosives, fireworks, or other dangerous items
* Pornographic or adult-themed merchandise
* Illegal drugs and illegal drug-related paraphernalia
* Excessive noise that may disturb other participants such as loud music, shouting, or music with inappropriate lyrics
* Sale or swap of rabbits, dogs, cats, pigs younger than 8 weeks old on the premises
* Anyone with a recent past (within 5 years) charged with any thing related to animal cruelty
All participants including but not limited to members, shoppers and vendors must abide by the following rules and regulations:
* All purchases and/or swaps constitute a private treaty between buyers, sellers and swappers and should comply to all State of Washington and Federal laws. This includes any livestock brand inspections as required by law.
* All legal restrictions regarding selling any animal and/or item are the sole responsibility of the vendor. It is the vendor's sole responsibility to know and abide by County, State and Federal laws.
* All livestock/animals and/or items must fit within the assigned space.
* All livestock/animals must be properly cared for throughout the event including appropriate food, water, shade, shelter, warmth and protection.
* Dogs and puppies (only working breeds like LGDs, herding breeds, etc are permitted- no 'pet' breeds) must be contained and off the ground (no contact with the ground is permitted to prevent risk of spreading diseases such as parvo). Proof of vaccinations is required. Suggestion: Keep puppies inside the vehicle, inside a kennel, or on top of a tarp or small kiddie pool surrounded be secure containment walls.
* :Only Pyrenees, Anatolians, Australian Cattle Dogs, Border Collies, Australian Shepherds, Heelers, Catahoula Leopard Dogs, or crosses of these are permitted. No 'pet' breeds or mixes with 'pet' breeds allowed.
* Cats/Kittens/Dogs/Puppies must be free of fleas and ringworm.
* No littering and/or throwing cigarette butts on the ground- dispose of them appropriately.
* No littering on the property- there are many designated trash receptacles throughout the assigned space.
* Plan to haul away your own trash to make things easier on the event host(s).
Rules Specific to Farm Barter Faires:
* Vendors are permitted to show up as early as 8 am to set up. PLEASE DO NOT ARRIVE EARLIER.
* Vendors are expected to haul away their own trash.
* Pets are not permitted. Service animals are permitted as long as they are under control, non-disruptive and calm, and on leash at all times. Emotional support animals are permitted as long as they are under control, non-disruptive and calm, and on leash at all times.
