Plant a seed of animal knowledge! Join us for a presentation with Cole Reiman, who, with his wife, runs a reptile, amphibian, and invertebrate rescue and sanctuary in Des Moines called Spock’s Sanctuary. In addition to their rescue work, they pride themselves in educating the public about these often misunderstood animals.In this interactive presentation, participants will get to see animals up close, ask questions and learn how to respect reptiles and amphibians. These animals are all past rescues that have a story to tell and have been given a second chance with the sanctuary.
This event is free and open to the public thanks to our Friends of the Library.
In case of inclement weather or high heat, this presentation will be moved to the First United Methodist Church, 400 N Elm Street.
