Split Screen Meetup 'in the making'
About this Event
Split Screen brings together creative practitioners to discover new ways of integrating technology into their practice – from 3D worldbuilding, digital avatars, and motion capture to new approaches to storytelling and performance-making.
Our 'in the making' meetup is a chance to connect with peers from across Scotland, hear about exciting new works in progress, and exchange ideas in an open, welcoming environment.
Lightning talks will feature artists and technologists from our demo showcase, sharing their latest work and asking for feedback and thoughts from the audience.
You'll have plenty of time to mingle and play with the demos on show, fueled by lots of lovely food and refreshments.
We're also introducing an optional Split Screen POT LUCK session. Through super quick exchanges (3 mins each) on rapid rotation, share what you're working on, what you need (a venue, producer, tech collaborator, etc) or what you can bring to the table to make someone else's project happen.
We'd love for you to be there...and sometimes this can feel tricky for many reasons. We can cover access and care-related costs to help remove barriers to attending. Please email [email protected] and let us know how we can support you.
We hope to take attendees on a journey of discovery, where you leave feeling inspired and connected!
Split Screen is led by the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in partnership with Citizens Theatre, Arcadia, Creative Glasgow and The Work Room, with support from the Scottish Government's Ecosystem Community Fund.

Info: POT LUCK: networking without the cringe...we'll guide you through a series of 3-minute 1-2-1 chats with our movers and shakers. Bring your idea and what you need to make it happen...collaborators, a venue, technical support, a sounding board. Leave with real connections and insights.
