Charis welcomes Samuel Ace forSplendor: Trans Poets, a writing workshop in celebration of , published by Two Lines Press.
What to expect:
- This class is exclusively for trans & gender non-conforming writers. Please do not register for this class if you are not trans/ gender non-conforming.
- Attendees will study the work of trans/gender non-conforming writers & build community with other trans writers in Atlanta
- Attendees of this class are invited to join as featured readers for our monthly open mic on Wednesday, September 16th at 7:30pm ET
- A more detailed class description will be released in early August
- All attendees will receive $25 for their participation (sponsored by Two Lines Press)
About Samuel Ace
Samuel Ace is a trans/genderqueer writer and sound artist. His latest books are (Cleveland State University Poetry Center 2024), (Black Radish 2019), and Meet Me There: Normal Sex & Home in three days. Don’t wash. (Belladonna* 2019). Ace is the recipient of the Astraea Lesbian Writer Award and the Firecracker Alternative Book Award in Poetry, as well as a repeat finalist for both the Lambda Literary Award and the National Poetry Series. Recent work can be found in , , Fence, BathHouse, The Texas Review, Poetry, , Best American Experimental Poetry, and many other journals and anthologies.
