What to expect when attending one of my meditation sessions
The session starts with a welcome and invitation to find yourself a comfortable position, be that seated or laying down. You are welcome to use a chair should you have difficulty doing floor work. Mats are provided.
I begin with a breathing meditation, encouraging you to direct your focus on your breath. Thoughts will naturally pop into your head, the human mind is programmed from birth to think. Focusing on the breath creates a distraction to let them go.
I follow this with either one or two narrated guided visualisation meditations. These could be a journey through a forest, a mountain climb, a walk along a beach or perhaps a moonlight train journey. Each journey follows a direction, how you interpret it is entirely through your own imagination. Through the course of the journey you are encouraged to look inwards and around you for guidance and answers for your spiritual growth journey.
We end on the breath, bringing our awareness back into the room, and giving thanks for the time taken to attend.
Each session is different, the focus changes from new beginnings, stress and anxiety, self love, sleep, gratitude and many more.
Meditation can evoke strong emotions from tears to laughter and this is quite normal.
Comfy clothing and water bottle is required along with an open mind.
