A year ago, I came to this group asking for help. Today, I’m inviting you to see what that help made possible.
When we were preparing to film SPINSTERS in Frederick, I turned to this community seeking locations, connections, volunteers, recommendations, and support. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but so many of you responded. Your generosity, enthusiasm, and willingness to help played a meaningful role in bringing this film to life.
Today, I’m excited to share that SPINSTERS has been selected to screen at the SilverVox Film and Music Festival and will have its hometown screening at the Weinberg Center for the Arts on Saturday, June 20 at 12:00 PM.
This film is, in many ways, a love letter to Frederick. More than 50 local businesses, organizations, and community members contributed to this project (on screen and off), and we are deeply grateful to everyone who helped us along the way.
To those who answered questions, shared resources, opened doors, offered encouragement, or simply followed our journey—thank you. You are part of this story.
We would love to see many of you at the screening as we celebrate not only the film, but the incredible community that helped make it possible.
