Get ready for one of New Ulm's biggest summer weekends!
On July 31–August 1, 2026, downtown New Ulm transforms into a beach volleyball destination as 1,300 tons of sand (about 70 dump trucks!) are brought in to create eight sand courts right on Minnesota Street.
Now in its 4th year, Spikin' in the Street has grown into one of southern Minnesota's premier sand volleyball tournaments, drawing teams and spectators from across the region for two days of exciting competition, great food, and summer fun in the heart of downtown.
Tournament Details
🏐 Four divisions: A, B, C & REC
🏐 Pool play followed by single-elimination tournament
🏐 Cash payouts for top teams
🏐 Rain or shine
**Registration is FULL for all divisions.**
Spectator Information
Bring a lawn chair and spend the day watching incredible volleyball in a one-of-a-kind downtown setting!
Food and beverages will be available for purchase throughout the event.
*Please note: No coolers allowed.*
