At once a camp tribute to the best of Universal horror and a macabre look at familial dysfunction, Jack Hill’s utterly unhinged debut feature is a cult masterpiece.
Chauffeur Bruno (Lon Chaney Jr.) looks after three siblings at their family estate. They all suffer from a genetic disorder that causes a reversal in mental age and results in a crazed, childlike disposition. Bruno covers up their behavior and crimes, but when relatives arrive at the estate, the truth may come out.
