SPICY DREAMS is a group exhibition organised by Useless Galeri as part of the “Nép-Szín-Ház Járdafesztivál”. The curatorial concept aims to connect to the festival’s main focus – the gastronomic diversity of the street – therefore the artworks move into the interiors of street-side restaurants and shops, exploring the relationship between spaces, art and possible new hybrid cultural connections. Stepping out of the white-cube space, the exhibition not only becomes an environment, but also transforms the act of viewing: the experience begins with entering the space, crossing the threshold, the moment of "getting in from the outside", and continues with interacting with the people working there, seeing the place from a distinct angle and finding its genius loci, perhaps tasting food, while discovering works by Hungarian contemporary artists in different interior situations.

A Useless Galeri a “Nép-Szín-Ház Járdafesztivál” keretei között egy téren átívelő kiállítást szervez. A fesztivál gasztro vonalán elindulva az utca mentén található éttermek és boltok belső tereibe költöző képzőművészeti alkotások a terek és a művek kapcsolatát, lehetséges újfajta, hibrid kultúrkapcsolódásokat keresnek. A white-cube kiállítótérből kilépve, a kiállítás nemcsak környezetet vált, de a nézői aktust is átalakítja: a tárlatot a helyekre való belépéssel, a küszöb átlépésével, a “kintről-be” pillanatával kell kezdenünk, az ott dolgozókkal való interakcióval, a hely, a genius loci megismerésével, esetleg ételek kóstolásával folytathatjuk. Mindeközben magyar kortárs képzőművészek munkáit kereshetjük és találhatjuk meg különböző enteriőr-szituációkban.
Kurátori tárlatvezetés a művészek részvételével:
szombaton 16 órakor.
