This advanced simulation lab is designed for prescribing clinicians seeking practical experience in configuring Spex Seating systems to meet diverse and complex postural needs. Through immersive, hands-on tasks, participants will engage in real-time problem-solving using modular seating components to address both common and advanced presentations.

What to Expect:

Interactive stations: Rotate through stations simulating postural challenges such as kyphosis, posterior pelvic tilt, pelvic obliquity, scoliosis, and windswept hip distortion.

Real-world simulation: Use asymmetrical suits and restricted range-of-motion setups to replicate clinical scenarios.

Hands-on configuration: Assess postural alignment, select appropriate Spex components, and modify seating configurations to optimise comfort, function, and pressure care.

Pressure mapping: Explore a dedicated station to evaluate the pressure care performance of your seating configuration.

Collaborative learning: Work alongside experienced seating specialists to strengthen clinical reasoning and confidence in product prescription.

Practical outcomes: Leave with enhanced skills in seating assessment and configuration, ready to apply evidence-based strategies in your own practice.
