About this Event
The Spelman College Food Studies Program is hosting its annual Food Justice Summit themed "Stirring up Home: Black Women Chefs Reframing Cultural Food Traditions as Resistance and Reclamation Work" in partnership with Food Tank on Thursday, April 17 at Spelman College's Science Center NASA Auditorium (350 Spelman Lane, S.W., Atlanta, GA 30314 ).
The event will center Black women changemakers of our global and local food systems in dialogue with students, faculty, staff, and the larger Atlanta community. Join us to hear from celebrity chefs and scholars who will share their experiences of food as resistance, reclamation work, and a marker to preserve cultural heritage.
