ABOUT THE EVENT
Decode Project is hosting a Spelling + Spirits adult spelling bee and fundraiser. Whether you are a speller, sipper, spender, or spectator (or any combination), join us in NuLu on Friday, July 24, 2026 from 6-10 p.m. at The Last Refuge for this literary-inspired annual fundraising event. This is a 21+ event.
Brush up on your encoding skills, sign up for the optional spelling bee, and bid on our silent auction baskets. Tickets are limited, so get yours today! All proceeds support our mission of eliminating inequities in education by fostering a diverse community of learners prepared to navigate the world. Decode Project teaches kids to read, and we can’t do it without the generosity of Y-O-U, the community, and all our faithful champions.
Doors open at 6 p.m. for conversation and cocktails. You can sign up on-site by 6:45 p.m. to participate in the bee*. Spelling begins at 7 p.m. and is limited to 20 participants. Don't miss out on your chance to compete.

Ticket includes delicious light bites and optional participation in the spelling bee. The wider menu of food and drinks will be available for purchase.
