Spellbound: An Evening of Music, Dance & Wonder
Step into a world of enchantment at Spellbound, where virtuoso musicians and graceful dancers seamlessly weave together spells of sound and movement. Our talented musicians include violinists Graeme Norris and Omporn Kowintha, violist Pisoot Saay-op-oua, cellist Jonathan Weigle, and pianist Akkra Yuenyonghattakporn, playing in harmony with ballet dancers Fahsai Thaweesak and Chanakarn Panpijit. This unforgettable evening opens with Mendelssohn’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream Overture, followed by Chopin’s lyrical 2nd movement from Piano Concerto No. 1, Saint-Saëns’ ghostly Danse Macabre, and Rachmaninoff’s mesmerizing Variation 18 from Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini. After intermission, Gershwin’s jazz-infused brilliance takes center stage with Rhapsody in Blue, Fascinating Rhythm, and I Got Rhythm. Don’t miss this spellbinding fusion of classical mastery with ballet’s poetic grace!
