Come along to the Avalon Marshes Centre and learn how to make your very own leaded stained glass spectrum stick to hang in your house or garden. You will learn how to cut glass safely, how to use a glass grinder, how to cut lead and solder it all together. You will then cement your window and clean and finish it, ready to take home. This will be a fun, creative day so why not come with a friend? This fun workshop is ideal for beginners as well as those who have more experience. Please be aware you need a certain amount of strength in the hands and wrists to cut glass and lead. Not suitable for children or those who are pregnant.
The day includes all materials and use of equipment. Please bring an apron and wear closed in shoes. Refreshments are available throughout the day, just bring your own lunch or purchase it from the on site café.
The workshop is run by glass artists Kate Doig of Firewolf Glass, who also exhibits at Somerset Craft Gallery at the Avalon Marshes Centre.
