About the Series:

If you haven’t been before, this event is for Queer Professionals to socialize and mix. Okay so what do those words mean?

Queer: Well, if you’re any wavelength of member of the 2SLGBTQIA+ spectrum, you’re welcome to mix with us, you belong here.

Professional: We take the original meaning of the word “profession,” as in, “having something to profess,” as in, “having something to speak passionately about,” to inform who’s professional, so whether you’re working as a small cog in a big business, or you’re an entrepreneur, or you’re an artisan, or you’re looking for work but LOVE to talk about bugs, you belong here!

Social: We use a neurodivergent-friendly sticker system and name tags to help folks indicate how they like to socialize – for some, they want to do the approaching, for others they’re happy to be interrupted. We also have lanyards for folks to indicate if they don’t want to be in any photos. TWB has incredible brews and also a wide selection of non-alcoholic drinks, so if you want to focus on the low stakes easy conversational games we have planned to get people talking together, you belong here!

Mixer: We’ll have time before and after the event for folks to mill about, come back to people they didn’t finish getting to talk to, exchange contact info, etc. People have found contractors for home improvement projects, sponsors for events, and plenty of new friends at these things! If you want to mix things up and add other cool queer people to your life, you belong here.
