Our Yin Yoga class at Mystic Fitness is open to all students of all practice levels.Within a traditional Yin practice, muscles are relaxed instead of engaged --to work within the deeper fields of our bodies.
Our Yin class calms the nervous system and balances the mind- body connection. Yin is a passive approach where the majority of poses are composed of placing muscle groups in soft positions for prolonged periods of time. This allows for deeper access to the body and targets connective tissues, fascia and ligaments, and which may aid in lubricating and protecting our joints. These are areas of the body often not reached with a typical yang style of yoga practice or fitness regime.
No yoga experience necessary. Mildly heated. 75 minutes.
All levels, all ages. Please pre-register.
