Special Needs Surfing Clinic Presented by SPI Sessions

The Annual Special Needs Surfing Clinic is produced by SP| Sessions in partnership with several nonprofit organizations serving the special needs community throughout South Texas.
Held on the beach, the clinic provides children and individuals with special needs the opportunity to experience surfing in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment with the assistance of trained volunteers and experienced surf instructors.
The event typically lasts 3-4 hours and is conducted as a structured, preregistered clinic with participant check-in, volunteer coordination, surf instruction, and dedicated water safety support provided by the Padre Beach Rescue Association.
We anticipate approximately 250 attendees, including participants, family members, volunteers, and organizers, with more than 50 volunteers assisting throughout the event.
Current partners include the Capable Kids Foundation, Down by the Border, H-E-B, SPI Economic Development Corporation, the Padre Beach Rescue Association, and additional community sponsors.
