Mantra Lounge x Om Being.

A night of mantra meditation at Om Being’s new home in Hackney Downs Studios. With Mantra Lounge bringing the sacred ancient yogic kirtan chants, and Om Being being the home of yoga and deep listening, there is a lot to get excited about.

Expect an evening of melody, mantra, rhythm. Let your voice free and let the music flow through your body. Let the transcendent sound move you within and without.

Mantra Lounge is a spiritual Friday night out. Experience a candlelit sound journey to shake off the week, embrace the calm and wake up uplifted. The perfect place to return back to your centre and meet new friends.

What we do: Sound and music are powerful and have the ability to heal and move us in incredible ways. Kirtan and Mantra meditation is a process of spiritual connection through sound. We allow our ears to take in the vibrations of the Mantra and then use our voices to sing out the Mantra, filling the space with an unexpected symphony and calming energy.

This enlivening and connecting form of meditation has its roots in an ancient spiritual culture, and has been practised for thousands of years in India. The effects of these healing vibrations restore balance to your mind, body and spirit. We're so happy to have been able to share it in the heart of London for almost 15 years.

When? Every Friday 7:00pm. Final entry 7:20pm.

What to expect? Group meditation and kirtan , which involves collective immersion in sacred sound, singing and sometimes spontaneous dance. Facilitated by a different Kirtan artist each week, followed by vegan cake and tea. Cushions are provided.

New to Kirtan? We would love to meet you. Don’t be shy, come and say hi! Suitable for all levels!

The small print:

• Eventbrite fees are non-refundable. Alternatively, if you would like to transfer your ticket to a different date, please specify this in your request. Refund/transfer requests will have to be submitted before the event begins.
• Short 1-2 minute video clips from the evening are filmed & shared on our Instagram page to provide a glimpse of the kirtan experience to those who weren't able to attend in person or haven't yet discovered the joyous practice of kirtan. If you prefer not to be included in such videos, please let any of our team know.
• Children are welcome to the event if they can peacefully sit through a two hour meditation session. Full priced tickets apply.
