Cristina Hall is coming back to Theatre Flamenco!

• Beginner Alegrías: 2:00–3:30 PM.
• Intermediate/Advanced Colombianas with two fans: 3:45–5:15 PM.

• Beginner Alegrías: 12:00–1:30 PM.
• Intermediate/Advanced Colombianas with two fans: 1:45–3:15 PM.

Each class lasts 90 minutes, with a 15-minute break between levels. In person only. Registration closes when capacity is reached.

All dates are in 2026. All deadlines use San Francisco time (Pacific Time). Prices are per person, in USD, plus Eventbrite fees at checkout. Your place is confirmed when payment is completed.

Includes one 90-minute class on October 3 and one on October 4. Choose Beginner Alegrías OR Intermediate/Advanced Colombianas with two fans. Both levels have the same prices. To attend both levels, purchase one course ticket for each.

• General — $120: September 22 at 12:00 AM through September 30 at 11:59 PM.
• Last minute — $140: from October 1 at 12:00 AM until October 3 at 2:00 PM for Beginner, or 3:45 PM for Intermediate/Advanced, before the first class.

• Last minute — $75: from October 1 at 12:00 AM until the selected class begins.

The Early Bird discount applies only to the full course. Select the correct date and level for single classes. All options are subject to availability. Complete payment before the applicable deadline to receive that price. Full-course sales close at the first class of that level; after that, only remaining single classes can be booked. Online registration through Eventbrite is required.

4. No filming during the workshops. Theatre Flamenco will share a video if Cristina allows us; it will be available the following week to allow smooth transitions between workshops.

A flamenco artist with refined technique, a distinctive artistic vision, and an identity shaped by her international career. Her work combines choreographic innovation, technical excellence, and a deep respect for tradition.

Born in San Francisco, California, Cristina Hall moved to Seville in 2001 to pursue intensive flamenco dance training, soon beginning her professional career in the city’s renowned tablaos. In 2004, she joined the company of Israel Galván, and in 2008 she embarked on her path as a creator with El Sonido del Silencio (The Sound of Silence), which toured the United States and Canada. Her piece Blackbird was a finalist at Sadler’s Wells in 2011, and in 2012 she was awarded Second Prize at the First Las Carboneras Flamenco Dance Competition. In 2017, she received First Prize at the Tetuán District Choreographic Competition for her work BIONIC.

She has premiered works at major festivals including the Festival de Jerez, the Seville Biennial, the OFF Festival Avignon, the Düsseldorf Flamenco Festival, the Festival Flamenco Andalou d’Avignon, the Festival Flamenco Azul de Marseille, and the Madrid Flamenco Festival. Among her most notable creations are Monocromo, The Rare Birds, Translúcido, Constelación Sonora, Animals, Tripolar, Simbiosis—which received the ESTRENA’T DANSA Award in 2021—Las Tres Acacias, Himnos a la Noche, and Dulce Espina. She also performed as a member of the cast of Éxtasis Ravel, directed by Andrés Marín.

In 2024, she made history as the first flamenco dancer to perform with Cirque du Soleil, appearing in Spirit in Scotland. In 2025, she performed Dulce Espina at the Vejer Flamenco Festival and premiered her new production Umbral de la Mirada. More recently, she co-created A MI ME LLAMAN EL LOKO with Tino van der Sman and David Lagos, which premiered at the 4th Guirijondo Festival.

Alongside her stage work, she develops an experimental audiovisual practice that brings flamenco into new visual and spatial contexts. She currently tours internationally while combining her performing career with an extensive commitment to teaching.
