Location - Barnitz Church - Next to Stuart Park and Barnitz MillWe hope you can join the Friends of Barnitz Mill (FOBM) for a special film screening of "Rock Mill: Saving an Original" at 2 PM on January 10th at Barnitz Church.
This film depicts how one community came together to save an important historic structure and preserve the stories that made this mill special, while breathing new life into it.
A newly incorporated non-profit, our mission is to share the rich history of Barnitz Mill and the community that was once situated in this area along the Yellow Breeches, and to build a path forward with you and other stakeholders in the community to transform the remaining mill building from a safety and maintenance liability into a useful, productive community resource that also serves as a touchstone to our local past.
This vision encompasses ideas such as local vendors or small markets operating out of the mill on weekends, a community room for gatherings and educational workshops, and more.
Refreshments will be available, and time for discussions.
