Special Environmental Features Tour

Schedule

Sat Aug 08 2026 at 10:00 am to 12:00 pm

UTC-05:00
Location

LeDuc Historic Site | Hastings, MN

We invite you to tour some very special places in Hastings. These places include important environmental features that our organization (HEP) worked with partners to put in place. We continue to work hard to maintain them and would be proud to show them off on this tour. We will have guides to escort a car caravan and talk at each of three locations. Meet us at the LeDuc Historic site parking lot to see their rainwater gardens. From there we plan to go to Cari Park where floating islands are anchored in the stormwater pond to improve water quality. Then, we will move on to the Southwest Ponding Basin to visit one of our important pollinator patches and also inspect the restoration progress for the prairie on the entire site. This more recent project was made possible by the City and FMR.
