Speaker Series presented by TCS

A Sports San Diego TCS Speaker Series Event

Ever wondered what really happens in the press box? Grab a seat (no press pass required) for an afternoon of behind-the-scenes stories, legendary moments, and a few tales that maybe never made it to print.

Sports San Diego brings together some of the city’s most respected sports voices for a lively conversation about the games, the people, and the stories that shaped San Diego sports, and where sports media is headed next.

Meet the Panel

🏈 Jay Posner, former Sports Editor of the San Diego Union-Tribune, spent decades covering the Chargers and horse racing. Today he writes about the Triple Crown for the LA Times and covers the big races at Del Mar. If it happened at Jack Murphy Stadium or down the stretch at Del Mar, Jay probably has a story about it.

🏆 Kirk Kenney, the Union-Tribune’s college football writer, covers SDSU football and has attended and written about the Holiday Bowl for an incredible 46 straight years. That’s a lot of bowl games and a lot of great stories.

⭐ Lisa Lamb of Her Sports brings a fresh perspective on women’s sports and the changing face of sports coverage.

🎤 Moderated by Rick Schloss, who will keep the conversation moving and make sure the best stories come out.
