Nicholas Proukou will be leading a session focused on estate planning with a specific focus on planning around disabled beneficiaries and the use of Supplemental Needs Trusts. Estate planning will include conversations on Wills, Powers of Attorney, Health Care Proxies and various types of trusts. Attendees can expect to come away from the conversation have a better understanding of the fundamentals of estate planning, as well as specific planning techniques applicable to planning for children with special needs. The session is aimed at being a conversation, so bring questions and feel free to bring them up as the talk progresses. If you have the question, others will too!
Nick co-chairs the Trusts, Estates and Elder Law practice group. He enjoys guiding clients through some of life’s most challenging moments with clarity, steadiness, and a sense of perspective. He takes pride in making complex legal issues understandable, ensuring clients feel informed and empowered rather than overwhelmed.
His practice spans a wide range of matters, from navigating Medicaid asset protection to addressing estate tax planning issues for high-net-worth individuals—and everything in between. Regardless of the simplicity or complexity, he approaches each client relationship with the same focus: practical solutions, clear communication, and thoughtful strategy.
Outside the office, Nick enjoys spending time on the lake with his two children, Levi and Lilah, and playing tennis competitively – activities that reflect the family perspective and work ethic he brings to his work with clients.
