LOW-COST SPAY/NEUTER REGISTRATION NOW OPEN - 200 Pets to be “Fixed, Vaccinated and Chipped” During 3-day EventThe Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter (SCCAS) is excited to once again partner with Animal Balance, an international non-governmental veterinary organization, to provide Santa Cruz County dog and cat owners with affordable spay/neuter surgery, core vaccines, and a microchip November 7-9, 2025.
Registration is now open at www.scanimalshelter.org
A team of fully-licensed Vets and Technicians from Animal Balance will perform sterilization surgeries, with clinic support and assistance provided by dedicated local volunteers. The cost is $150 for cats and $300 for dogs. Santa Cruz County residents on public assistance such as CalFresh or MediCal can provide proof of that assistance to qualify for lower fees: $75 for a cat and $150 for a dog. The clinic will take place just around the corner from the Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter at 2260 7th Ave, Santa Cruz, CA 95062.
