About the Author:
Jade Amez was born in Taiwan, adopted as an infant, and raised in the USA. Jade started her ‘roots’ journey in high school, and connected in-person with her birth mother a few years later.
When she was young, Jade didn’t have many books that talked about international adoption, identity, rejection, racial sensitivity, family dynamics, trauma, or emotions an adoptee may feel growing up.
When Jade is not writing, she can be found traveling the world, playing hockey or soccer with friends, or looking for a new food truck to try. Jade also loves dumplings! Xiao Long Baos from Din Tai Fung are one of her favorites. You may see a few dumplings hidden in her children’s book!
