SPANISH SMALL PLATES AND MATCHED WINE BY PASO-PRIMERO 🍷We are back with another small plates evening (and the last one of the year!) at CSONS Shrewsbury. This one is a collaboration with our house wine suppliers Paso-Primero on Thursday 21st November. Paso-Primero was established by Tom and Emma, a Shrewsbury based couple who fell in love with wine when they both worked at Tanners, in 2014 they started their own winery in the north of Spain.
We shall be serving up 5 Spanish tapas style, small plates with 5 matched wines, as always we shall be showcasing the best local produce from our amazing local suppliers and cooking them in traditional ways.
With our small plates evenings we let you know the dishes we're serving before you get there so what do you get:
🍷 Celeriac tortilla with confit egg yolk, potato skin crisps, warm beet gazpacho and chive oil, matched with Paso-Primero Blanco
🍷 Cornish Octopus served with squash puree, roast squash, mole verde, migas and lardo, matched with Paso-Primero Rosado.
🍷 Ham croquettes, manchego cream, smoked ham broth, fennel and paprika/garlic oil matched with Paso-Primero Tinto.
🍷Pork loin served with a red wine and caper sauce with fried potato puree and charred leeks, matched with Paso-Primero Proximo.
🍷Sponge with vermouth poached pears served with chocolate ice cream, cinnamon nuts and vermouth sabayon, matched with Paso-Primero Vermouth.
Tom, the founder of Paso-Primero will be there on the night to talk you through all the matched wines and answer any questions you may have.
Please note this event is only in Shrewsbury and there will only be one sitting, please arrive at 6.45pm for a 7pm start.
