What is the intent of the course? The intent of this course is to go beyond the holiday language and topics.  This set is about learning how to speak about general themes and able to interact with Spanish speakers using a broad range of everyday topics.

What will be covered on the course?

• El internet hoy en dia
• Los sentimientos
• Describir la comida y la vida sana
• En la tienda (ropa, zapatos, belleza y supermercado)
• La rutina diaria y semanal
• Opiniones: identidad y cultura

What will learners achieve by the end of the course? 

The learners will be able to:

• The learners will be able to talk about internet and how social media is part of their lives.
• Talk about feelings and how we express them in different contexts to describe emotions and also to talk about them in Spanish
• Describe food and how this is a very important part of a healthy life style
• Go shopping 
• Daily/weekly routine and how to use the reflexive verbs
• Opinions about identity and culture (Spain versus UK)

What skills or knowledge do learners already need to have to attend the course?

The learners need to have a good foundation of basic Spanish language.  

They should have knowledge of:

• Greetings
• Introductions
• Shopping, asking for food and drinks
• Directions,
• Numbers, days of the week, months, telling the time
• Travelling 
• Describing things, people and places
• Verbs in present tense and some knowledge of future and past tense
• Be able to use present and past tenses
• Be able to give opinions about different topics 

Learners should bring:

• A Pen and Paper.
• A Spanish Dictionary 

Suggested Reading for the course - 

• Any learn Spanish books are fine to revise the basics

As this course is online, a suitable device such as laptop, smart phone, tablet or computer will be required to access the course.  Zoom will be used for the live sessions and the link will be sent to you once your enrolment has been completed.

To secure your place on the course BOTH the following must be done:

• Complete our INSPIRE ONLINE ENROLMENT FORM for each person attending the course.

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.

Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).

As we no longer receive funding for our ESFA-funded courses for learners living in the devolved areas listed below, full cost fees would apply to these courses if you live in these areas:
