Spanish for Public Service Training: Information Session
Join us for an informational session to learn about our new Spanish for Public Service courses (I and II) designed exclusively for City of Detroit’s employees. These courses support our commitment to equitable service delivery by training staff to communicate effectively with the diverse communities we serve.
If you work in a public-facing department where daily operations involve interactions with Spanish-speaking residents, these courses are designed to provide practical Spanish language skills that can be applied in day-to-day operations.
Spanish for Public Service I is a foundational hybrid course intended for employees with little to no prior knowledge of Spanish and prepares them to communicate at an advanced beginner level.
Spanish for Public Service II builds on foundational skills and develop emoployees to an intermediate level of proficiency, allowing more detailed and independent interactions with Spanish-speaking residents.
