About The Book

Although renowned chef José Andrés has made the United States his home, his roots in Spain run deep: It’s where he grew up and now spends summers with family and friends. It’s also where some of the best ingredients and most fascinating culinary techniques are celebrated every day, and as he says, it’s “where I learned to cook, learned to eat, and most importantly, learned to love food.”
This vibrant, exciting collection of recipes bears José’s unique mark and proudly represents a culture where life is centered around the table. While it is impossible to capture all the richness and variety of this culture, Spain My Way showcases Spanish cooking in José’s signature style—not only the cornerstones of the cuisine but also his own favorite recipes, whether from his home kitchen, at his restaurants, or across Spain, enjoyed while eating with chefs and friends. Spain My Way, written with Sam Chapple-Sokol, is a vivid exploration of how Spaniards cook and eat, from one of the country’s most beloved sons.

About The Author

José Andrés is a Michelin-starred chef, an Emmy Award–winning TV host and producer, and a New York Times bestselling author of Change the Recipe, Zaytinya, Vegetables Unleashed, and The World Central Kitchen Cookbook. A pioneer of Spanish tapas in America and a celebrated ambassador of Spanish cooking, his renowned José Andrés Group operates more than forty restaurants across the United States and beyond. Andrés is the founder of the nonprofit World Central Kitchen and has been honored as Outstanding Chef and Humanitarian of the Year by the James Beard Foundation. He has twice been named one of Time’s 100 Most Influential People and has been awarded both the Presidential Medal of Freedom and one of Spain’s highest honors, the Princess of Asturias Foundation’s Concordia Prize, for his humanitarian work.

About The Moderator

Ana Navarro was named co-host of “The View” beginning in season 26 in 2022. She had previously joined the show in 2015 for season 19 as a contributor. Navarro has made recurring appearances on the panel as a guest co-host since November 2018 in season 22. She appeared on the show for the very first time as a guest co-host in 2013.
Navarro is a political strategist and commentator. Born in Nicaragua, she immigrated to the United States in 1980 at 8 years of age. She is a Republican commentator with expertise on Latin American, Florida and Hispanic issues.
Navarro also has vast expertise in supporting losing but principled Republican candidates. She was the National Hispanic co-chair for John McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign. She has advised numerous federal and state campaigns in Florida and nationally.
She is one of the leading Hispanic political voices in the United States. In addition to “The View,” she is a political commentator on CNN. She is known for her honest and blunt commentary and for speaking truth to power.
Navarro will continue to commute from her home in Coral Gables, Florida, where she lives with her husband, Al Cardenas, and Chacha, their spoiled miniature poodle. Her hobbies include cooking with lots of butter and internet shopping. She engages in no activities requiring significant attention span or physical exertion.
