Enter the fabric world of Profondo Rosso - Spaces installation showing Spaces is a durational multidisciplinary art project, combining installation, performance and light art.
It is an invitation to momentarily detach from your daily, fast-paced tasks and reconnect to your own imagination.
Profondo Rosso envisioned a total of four installations, but they are not there yet!
So for now, Profondo Rosso invites you to explore their first installation!
Get ready to enter a world of fabric, get immersed in it and reconnect to your physical self!
Profondo Rosso
PROFONDO ROSSO is an international and interdisciplinary art company founded in 2022 by Cecilia Rosso. It combines the fields of performance, visual arts and plastic arts, to create dramaturgies around human themes. The work of the company focuses on performances and installations that involve the public to create a deeper connection with the performer and with themselves.
Spaces - general project description
Spaces is a multidisciplinary project combining installation, light art and performance. The exposition recreates naturalistic spaces using non-natural materials. In this artistic process Profondo Rosso experiments with materials like mirrors, metals and fabrics like organza, that allow to play with their ability to reflect lights.
Interacting with the elements in four different rooms, Spaces provides the public with an experience of self-perception and reflection in research of identity. The exposition invites people in the audience as individuals to take time to perceive themselves in the space in relation to the installation. To connect to their physical body, sensations and inner feelings. At the same time establishing a sense of community through this shared openness to receive and experience in the different rooms.
Installation#1 - general description
Between 2021/2024 the company Profondo Rosso focuses on the development of the first installation/experience. The installation involves 96 computer fans and 130m of organza. In this work Profondo Rosso invites the audience to take a step onto the fabric and explore physically the new world that they created.
The installation will be exposed as a work in progress for a full month in the Balkon of the LocHall. During this period the audience is invited to explore the work and engage with the company. This is a crucial step for the work, where the company hopes to connect with audience members and analyse how they can interact with the material and how a future sound and light creation can support this interaction.
