Join us for Space Exploration Weekend at The Tech Interactive Space Exploration Weekend at The Tech Interactive: May 1-3, 2026Celebrate National Space Day all weekend long in downtown San Jose with hands-on space experiences and a send-off celebration for the beloved Jet Pack Chair.
Space: The New Frontier movie in the IMAX Dome Theater: See, hear, and feel our vast universe with 9,000+ square feet of wraparound image and 13,000 watts of digital surround sound. Our Dome Theater transforms space documentaries into immersive experiences. Space: The New Frontier IMAX screenings included with admission, May 1-3.
Hands-on Space Activities: Fold spacecraft, satellites, and rockets. Design and create postcards destined for space. Create space-themed designs to take home. All hands-on activities are included with Space Weekend admission.
Jet Pack Chair Send-Off Celebration: The Jet Pack Chair is retiring this summer to make way for a NEW experience. Space Exploration Weekend marks the first of many events to celebrate this beloved exhibit. Experience the thrill of flying around with a laser and rack up points. We're running daily leaderboards all weekend. Get competitive and have fun!
