Soweto Gospel Choir was formed in South Africa in 2002, and is an ensemble of over 30 members whose music blends elements of African gospel, Negro spirituals, reggae and American popular music. The Grammy Award-winning and Academy Award-nominated group performed at Nelson Mandela's first of 46664 anti-AIDS benefit concerts—and has since toured internationally several times.Soweto Gospel Choir
