A collaboration between The Haven Community Wellbeing Project and Mill of Benholm Enterprise, this workshop will explore fermented foods in a session dedicated to traditional Scottish oats. In this hands-on session, participants will learn the history and cultural significance of sowans, as well as the fermentation process that transforms simple oats into a tangy and nutritious dish.
Held at the amazing Mill of Benholm you will be have a window into the role oats has played in the Northeast landscape, culture and diet.
