Sow & Grow: Volunteer at the Native Plant Nursery

🌱Help Grow Native Plants for Restoration! Bring a friend and join us in supporting restoration projects around Upper Newport Bay. Volunteers will assist with seasonal nursery activities, including:

• Seed collection & sowing
• Transplanting seedlings & pruning
• Processing cuttings
• Composting & pot washing
• Weeding & maintaining nursery space

Minimum Age: 13 years old (minors must have a legal guardian present at all times)

Group Requests: For group volunteer opportunities, please fill out this request form

Location: Back Bay Science Center (Outdoors)

Be prepared for outdoor conditions – while most work is in shaded areas, volunteers should expect to stand and be exposed to changing weather for extended periods.

What to Bring:

• Closed-toe shoes
• Hiking or outdoor work attire
• Reusable water bottle
• Sunscreen & hat

Amenities: Free parking & public restrooms available on-site.

No experience necessary – training and tools will be provided!
