Southwest Washington Wind Symphony: New Frontiers
The Southwest Washington Wind Symphony will open its 22nd season with a “New Frontiers” concert celebrating the bold adventurous spirit and sweeping landscapes of the American West. Principal Conductor Patrick Murphy from the University of Portland will share the podium with Chris Sigman, oboist and local music educator. The program features Farallones, composed by Seattle-based music educator Megan Vinther, which highlights the Greater Farallones National Marine Sanctuary off the Northern California coast. The program also includes Hoe Down by Aaron Copland, El Camino Real by Alfred Reed, Silverado by Bruce Broughton, and more. SWWS thanks Presenting Sponsor Beacock Music for its support of our 2026-2027 season.
