🏃♀️✨ Children’s Takeover Day at parkrun! ✨🏃♂️📅 When: First Saturday in MARCH (1st March 2025) for New Zealand Children's day (observed on Sunday 2nd).
This event we aim to have all children on the volunteer roles (with supervision) to host this event for all. It will be a day were we will celebrate the little ones in our lives.
Calling all future volunteers! We’re excited to announce a Children’s Takeover Day at Southern Path parkrun on Saturday 1st March 2025! This is your chance to shine, as kids take on every volunteer role to make the event happen.
From cheering on runners as marshals, to scanning barcodes, handing out finish tokens, and even delivering the pre-run briefing – it’s all about YOU!

Here’s what you need to know:
📍 Where: Conifer Grove Reserve, Takanini
👶 Who Can Volunteer: Children aged 4 years and above – parents/guardians will need to be present. (4 is the age children can register for a barcode)
💌 How to Join: Email us at [email protected] with your preferred role and child’s name and barcode number. Training and support will be provided on the day!
This is a fantastic opportunity to get involved, learn new skills, and experience the magic of parkrun from a whole new perspective.
