Southern Edge - Torren Martyn A Sailing and Surfing Adventure Around Tasmania.Southern Edge film, follows surfer and adventurer Torren Martyn and his best friend Ishka Folkwell as they attempt to circumnavigate Tasmania in two 18ft sailing canoes. What starts as a novel idea to accomplish a sailing feat soon evolves into a rare opportunity to connect on a deeper level with the entire coastline of Tasmania over a few months of slow travel. The film portrays the uniquely diverse landscapes, wildlife and elements of this rugged island while connecting with people that share their love for this rich land in the middle of the Great Southern Ocean.
The film is a surf film featuring Torren Martyn surfing Tasmania best waves but is also an opportunity to see this island through a different lens, the spaces and perspectives that can only be witness by traveling where only few craft can venture along Tasmania remote coastline.
All profits from ticket sales will go to Surfrider Foundation Australia.
